The first group of photos shows places and scenes our ancestors would have known in America, followed by early maps of towns and villages where they lived.
The interactive maps (below the photos) show the towns and villages in Holland, England and Germany that are known to be the places of origin for my ancestors. The final map shows the latest findings of the National Geographic/Genographic Project and is based on DNA testing of people around the world, including those of us who have participated in the DNA projects that I and many others manage, thanks to Family Tree DNA, the company that also does all the testing for the National Geographic-IBM project. For more information about this project, please go to National Geographic/genographic.
